The Centre for Technology Law and Development (cTLD) is a pan African institution registered in South Africa with the intention of providing innovative analysis, research, training and litigation on matters relating to technology and law.

The Centre’s mission is to provide a public service in the interdisciplinary area of information communication technology and law, to help clients understand legal liability arising from the use of technology and to advance research in the relationships between information communication technology and law in Africa. Africa has begun reaping the rewards of technology, but these have also come at a cost to many who are not aware of the legalities associated with this advancement.
